Slave Ant Example
This is a much more ambitious follow up to the Ant Walk Example. My clips can be seen through the link to
the right, to see the completed project follow this link. I got to work
with a wonderful team on this project: Cody
Woodard: animated the scenes I didn't. Ben
Reeves did the rigging, ant models, lighting, texturing, and rendering. Heather
Grice modeled the environments. Erika Peinado modeled the embryo canister,
hover tank and turret. And Abraham Stopani did the compositing and effects. As
with the Ant Walk Example, most of the animation is toward the end.
Grax and Futzle
This was my final student project at
UAT, and my first full 3D animation. Since then, it has been featured in UAT promotional material,
and a local news broadcast about 3D animation in Arizona..
Ant Walk Example
This is my first professional freelance animation. I animated both the ant and the camera
to fit in with the rest of the presentation. The challenge for me was to strike a balance
between "robotic" movement and "insect" movement. Please be patient, most of the animation is
toward the end of the clip. The ant was modeled, textured, and rigged by Ben Reeves.
